August 14, 1989; Mayor Bob Attersley cut the ribbon at the grand opening of Candy’s Answering Service. It all started in a broom closet, downtown Whitby with five customers and a custom made switchboard. Candy & her father Glen knew that Durham Region businesses needed a reliable after hour service to ensure no missed calls. Candy was the youngest entrepreneur in Durham Region, and the competition did not expect us to survive, 28 Years later great customer service and determined dedication is the key to our success. Word of mouth advertising traveled faster than anything else to help the business grow.
In March 2016, Sadly Glen passed away, thanks Dad for all you did, we miss you.
In 2017 after 28 years in business, we continue to grow now all across Canada. Candy’s has always been very well known in the Durham Region & GTA but outside of that area, potential customers are unsure of what type of services we provide. With the new launch of Cancom Answering Solutions Inc., we are very excited and look forward to offering Great Customer Service to all our new clients.
